Clinical Services

technical assistance

The Mailman Center is committed to providing the highest level of clinical services in a family-centered and culturally competent environment. We focus on infants, children & adolescents with developmental delay or disability, though many children with other special health care needs receive services through our expanding programs. The more than 15,000 consumer visits each year provide the basis for advanced clinical training, research, and the development of more effective strategies for diagnosis and treatment.

In addition to the extensive training and technical assistance we provide to professionals, trainees, and families throughout South Florida, the Caribbean and Latin America, we offer a wide selection of exceptional clinical evaluation services. As the only university-based center of our kind in South Florida, we are able to collaborate with specialists covering the spectrum of child healthcare needs. This enables us to provide the best possible care to our patients. In addition to center-based programs, Mailman Center faculty participate in services provided throughout south Florida and the Caribbean. In all cases, we strive to provide exemplary interdisciplinary care.

Our evaluation services may include appointments with individual clinicians, select teams of two or three clinicians, or a full interdisciplinary team representing four or more of our 10 disciplines; Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics, Psychology, Speech-Language Services, Genetic Counseling, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Education, Audiology, Nutrition and Social Work.

If you would like to make an appointment or to begin the evaluation process, please call
